Business principle
Laitis’ vision is sustainable growth, where economic, social, and environmental aspects are considered. We act as a credible, long-term partner, conducting ourselves professionally, honestly, and ethically. We continuously develop our work and set high standards for our suppliers and employees to follow integrity and ethics.
All companies, employees, and management within the Laitis Group adhere to fundamental laws and regulations in all areas of operation:
- Laitis respects the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights (www.un.org) and the core conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO), and takes responsibility for observing the rights of employees and society to the extent they are affected by the group’s activities.
- Laitis maintains an open attitude towards those affected by the group’s activities.
Code of Conduct
In addition to laws and regulations, we have also developed guidelines for our Code of Conduct, which everyone within the group is expected to follow. These guidelines help us to clearly define the expectations for our employees and management regarding ethical behavior and business practices.
Employee
t is important for Laitis to offer an attractive workplace in order to employ and retain staff. Employees should enjoy and feel well at the workplace and be given opportunities for development through competence provision and individual follow-up.
The relationship to and between employees should be built on mutual respect and dignity as well as reasonable influence that affects the individual’s work situation, regardless of gender, ethnic background, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
Suppliers and Partners
Laitis applies processes to evaluate, select, and prioritize suppliers and partners. This ensures Laitis’ requirements for ethical, social, and environmental commitments. In areas where Laitis has influence, the group strives to ensure that suppliers and partners follow relevant principles according to our Code of Conduct. For example, the Laitis group does not purchase products from suppliers who cannot provide a written assurance that child labor is not used in their production upon request.
Market and Customers
The Laitis group’s operations are based on long-term relationships with customers and other business partners. We are a credible, long-term, and professional partner that acts honestly and ethically. The group does not accept corruption, bribes, or disloyal competitive restricting actions. All sales and marketing are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Environment
Our environmental work is conducted within the framework of our business idea. We work long-term and continuously develop our knowledge about the environmental impacts from the choice of suppliers to our products and services. Circular thinking and resource conservation, as well as efficient transportation, are central parts of our operation, contributing to reduced resource and energy consumption. We comply with environmental legislation and encourage all parts of our supply chain to minimize negative environmental impact.
Community Engagement
All companies within the Laitis group strive to establish good relations in the local communities where we operate. We are politically independent and do not financially contribute to political parties or candidates.
